This year was the quintessential Canadian Thanksgiving in Ontario. We enjoyed record warm temperatures, gorgeous fall foliage; not to mention, the tastes and smells of turkey, pumpkin pie and most importantly the opportunity to celebrate being family!

Every Canadian Thanksgiving, many Canadians take a drive out to the country to enjoy the foliage. The media announces where the leaves are at their "best". The time varies as does the place, so timing is important. Sometimes it all comes together at Thanksgiving... if we are lucky. This year it did!

I want to share my walk in the woods on Thanksgiving Day with you.

It is easy to be grateful with all the beauty and splendor of nature at your doorstep. The wonderful weather was the icing on the cake! Most of Ontario had temperatures hovering around 24 degrees Celsius...perfect!

Come with me and enjoy what every red-blooded Canadian should do...if they have the opportunity. Here is nature`s gorgeous display from this year for all of you to enjoy, especially if you didn't have the opportunity to be there!

To Set the Mood...

Get your senses attuned...

The day is warm, the air is clear. The sky is a beautiful blue with hardly a cloud in the sky. You can hear your footsteps crunch in the gravel. You stop to listen...

What is that sound? To your utter amazement, you can hear dry leaves slowly dropping all around you in the woods.

The woods are ablaze in color, like Mother Nature has set the trees to bloom! Best of all...there are no bugs!

You take a deep breath and exhale...Ahhh, there you go...feel your muscles relax already!

Something to be grateful for this year!
